Once you have received an appointment letter for the immigrant visa interview, you may proceed with obtaining your medical clearance.

The Embassy has appointed a panel of medical practitioners. To obtain your medical clearance, you must go to the Embassy to receive the appropriate medical forms and then call on one of the physicians/facilities.

The medical forms, along with a a copy of the chest x-ray, serological reports, and any other reports, will be given to you to be hand carried to the Embassy on the day of your visa interview appointment.

K1 Visa, K3 Visa and CR1 Visa Processing Details

This U.S. embassy processes K1 visas, K3 visas and CR1 visas.

This embassy provides very little information about how they process their K1 visa, K3 visa and CR1 visas. We have heard of people not receiving any paperwork (packet 3) from the U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka, but were told that it was sent. They almost missed their interview date due to this! Be careful when applying through this embassy as you could miss your interview date and not even know it.
