I am a Canadian working in the U.S. on a TN Visa and I have a boyfriend who is a US citizen. Can we get married, do the Adjustment of Status and get my Green card or should I renew my TN Visa?
Answer:
Applying for your Adjustment of Status is possible but you must do it with care so your application is not denied due to fraud. Since the TN Visa has an intention of temporary stay your original intention was not to get married. If you apply for your adjustment of status now, you need to apply correctly with the proper supporting documentation.
