Do I need a TD Visa for my dependents when I apply for my TN Visa?
Answer:
You will need either a TD Status or a TD visa. You want to understand the difference between the TD (trade dependent) status vs. the TD visa.
Canadians do not need visas to enter the U.S. So any Canadian citizen dependents you have will only require the TD status which they will receive at the Port of Entry.
Non-canadian dependents will need to obtain a TD Visa at the U.S. embassy before entering the U.S.
Use the TN Visa Expert Kit to help you prepare your TN Visa Application as well as the supporting documents for your TD visa dependents.
