TN Visa - Frequently Asked Question
I am a Canadian born citizen but have been living in Europe for the past 10 years and no longer have family or ties with Canada (besides my passport). Is this a problem when applying for a TN visa?
Answer:
Under NAFTA, the purpose of showing ties to Canada is so the Officer can see that you will return after your TN Visa has ended and that you will not continue to stay illegally in the U.S. Showing ties to another country is valid. Use the TN Visa Application Kit to ensure you are prepared for the border interview as well as ensuring you TN Visa Application has all the documentation required.
